Project Overview
PBS Biotech is a biotechnology company specializing in innovative single-use bioreactor solutions for cell-based therapies.
Webxhives collaborated with PBS Biotech on the initial UX strategy and information architecture for its content-rich website, focusing on improving how scientists and researchers discover product information, technical resources, and support content.
The Challenge
PBS Biotech's website contained extensive technical information, including product pages, downloadable resources, documentation, and customer support materials.
The challenge was to develop a clearer website structure that could help scientific audiences navigate complex content and find relevant information more efficiently.
Our Solution
We worked on the website's information architecture, content organization, and initial low-fidelity wireframes using Figma.
Key Deliverables
- Website content inventory and structure review
- Information architecture and sitemap development
- Product and resource content organization
- Initial homepage and internal page wireframes
- UX planning for technical documentation and downloads
- Navigation and user journey recommendations
- Figma-based architecture and design concepts
The work also explored how product pages could connect with supporting scientific resources, including publications, calculators, and technical documentation.
Project Outcome
The engagement produced an initial information architecture framework, detailed sitemap revisions, and low-fidelity website concepts.
Client feedback helped refine the approach toward a more detailed, content-first structure for the website.
The initial architecture milestone was approved, while further UX documentation and design work remained unfinished when the project was paused.
